Jessica completed her MD/PhD in bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. She subsequently completed her clinical training in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is an attending at Boston Children’s Hospital focused on heart failure and cardiomyopathies and is interested in future clinical translation of stem cell-based cardiomyocyte therapies. As a post-doctoral fellow in the Lee lab, Jessica studies cardiomyocyte maturation and strategies to minimize immune system detection of stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. Outside of lab and the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing the violin and piano.
