Michael Florea and Ana Uzquiano Lopez

Michael Florea is a graduate student in the BBS program, and a member of the Wagers and Vandenberhe labs at Harvard. Before joining the BBS program, he obtained his M.Sc. from the Fussenegger lab at ETH Zürich and his undergraduate degree from Imperial College London. His research interests center on genetic engineering, aging, and the development of gene therapies.

Dr. Ana Uzquiano Lopez obtained her Ph.D. in developmental neurobiology from the Sorbonne University in Paris, studying cortical development and associated malformations. Her research seeks to elucidate the mechanisms that govern the formation of the human cerebral cortex, which involves exposing the cellular and molecular processes mediating neural progenitor behavior and neuronal diversification.
