I joined the Macklis lab in late 2018. I previously studied social behavior dysfunction, using gene and environment interaction based behavior models. Subsequently, I worked on conserved sexually dimorphic social behavior circuits that are susceptible to neuroendocrine regulation, using cell-type specific chemogenetic manipulation, behavioral testing and 3D connectivity mapping. I am interested in the role genes, environmental factors and experiences play in the wiring of functionally relevant neural networks during development. In my free time, I like to dance, paint, go to museums and eat chocolate.
