University of Virginia, B.S. (Biology, Concentration in Neuroscience)
I joined the Macklis lab in the summer of 2015 to investigate the mechanisms responsible for building circuits in the cortex during development. Prior to arriving at Harvard, my interest in neuronal wiring began with post-baccalaureate research at the National Institutes of Health. There, I studied the coordinated developmental patterning of vasculature and peripheral nerves in the heart and gastrointestinal system with Dr. Yosuke Mukoyama. As an undergraduate, I studied cellular rearrangements during neurulation with Dr. Ray Keller at UVa and human motor control with Dr. Mark Hallett at the NIH.
