After conducting several independent research projects in college concerning adult hippocampal neurogenesis in mammals and continual neural proliferation in zebrafish, I have developed a passion for understanding the mechanisms and modulators of neural generation. I have a current interest in studying neural regeneration and the intersection of developmental neuroscience and medicine. This new-found fascination with regenerative medicine has been actualized with my current integration in the lab’s spinal cord injury research.
