Esther Chai

I joined the lab in the summer of 2021, and am a current sophomore concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. I work under the mentorship of Dustin Tillman, to identify subcellular components that function in subtype-specific neuronal growth cones to enable proper neural circuitry formation. My previous research experiences include studying the function of proteins implicated in a mutant breast cancer pathway, and manipulating various protein substrates to enhance the differentiation of dental pulp stem cells.

I am from New York City, and love coffee and boba. On campus, I am a part of HCURA, HUSO, AACF, and GAMI. Outside of school, I enjoy yoga, swimming, and basically any activity that keeps me moving!
