Shuoshuo is interested in cell biology of heart and muscle and specializes in mechanotransduction and ECM. Following his higher education in Germany and post-doc at Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, he had served at the NYU School of Medicine as staff scientist before joining the Lee lab. Here he is currently focused on the impacts of innate immune systems in cardiac regeneration as well as systemic molecular analysis on myocardial fibrosis in the context of ageing and diets.
Shuoshuo is an eager reader and a chronic fan of JS Bach. He prefers to spends his free time with his wife and friends in the tranquill backcountry or urban labyrinths.
